Baby R. Nebrida

Baby Nebrida is one of the most esteemed and prolific screenwriters in Philippine cinema. An American Filipina, she has carved a remarkable career in the industry. A resilient and dedicated woman, she lived in New York City for twenty years before returning to the Philippines to contribute significantly to its film and television landscape.

With an impressive portfolio that includes about thirty films and fifty teleplays and telecines, Baby R. Nebrida has also produced numerous TV specials, and documentaries shot in Israel and various European countries, and organized several concerts. She has worked with major TV networks such as ABS-CBN, GMA 7, RPN 9, IBC 13, ABC 5, and PTV 4, creating drama series and specials since the early 1980s.

As a member of the PTV 4 Board for several decades, Nebrida wrote, hosted, directed, and produced the award-winning talk show "Heart to Heart Talk" for eight years, providing free counseling to troubled families both on and off the air. Known for her deep faith and advocacy in filmmaking, she passionately speaks about truth, good, and evil, and remains committed to researching globally relevant subjects.

Baby has collaborated with esteemed film studios such as Regal Films, Viva Films, FLT Films International, Cinex Films, and various independent companies. Over the past twelve years, she and her two children established Gold Barn Film International, producing significant films like "Flames of Love," a family drama about marital breakups and family woes that won Best Film at the Catholic Mass Media Awards, and "Across the Crescent Moon," a celebrated film about human trafficking that garnered multiple Best Picture awards from both local and international bodies.
